Letterforms As Soundtracks
For this project, we were asked to redesign an album that was from a few decades ago and we redesigned it from scratch. I found this project to be really fun and it taught me a lot of new things! I did need to make the circle on the album a little bit bigger, but other than that I wouldn't change anything about my album!
For the fonts, I used Futura, and for the "SOUL" part of my album I used the pen tool on Illustrator.
The Album Before
On the left is the album cover before. I chose this album to work with because I saw a lot of potential for the new album cover I would create for this piece. I enjoyed the colors that were already on the cover, but felt I could add more to it.
The album is “Sweet Soul Music” by the Soul Finders.
